Nails

For weeks I had been begging my parents for black nail polish. Finally I got it. I painted my toes and my fingers. I like it....One night I was bored and put pink stripes on all my fingers and one on my big toes. Now I know my fingers look like fat little sausages but they're not. And the reason my foot is so pale is because the flash was on. So....
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I'm not feeling 100% today so I hope I get better tomorrow. I'll write about Thanksgiving later. Like Saturday maybe. Or Friday if I'm bored. Which I probably will be.....

Randomness
Underneath my top layer of hair it's all afro-y and curly. If I don't blow them down straight (which takes a lot of work!) they stick up. So I rarely pull my hair back cuz they pop out. They're horrible!

And this....house is on the way to riding. Talk about a hillbilly place! In the summer, they all sit under a tree in their yard (what's not pictured) holding a fly swatter. No joke. See the part of the shed on the far left of the picture? Often when we drive by, we see the guy standing in the open doorway, watching us. It's weird.

My week
I know I have a lot to catch up on. OK. So first I'll talk about Friday and slowly move my way to tonight when everyone at my soccer team went to a pizza place, Bellacino's, for dinner and so our coaches could hand out awards and stuff.
FRIDAY: My horse back riding lesson was canceled on Thursday so I had it Friday morning. The horse I ride, Flash, stays up in a pasture that is on a hill. The day before it rained and rained and rained so the hill was way muddy. When I had got Flash and was leading him down the hill, trying to go super slow so he wouldn't slip, he slipped (go figure). I let go of the leadrope and he skied down the hill about 20 feet. When I walked back up to him he wasn't spooked at all. Good horse. In my lessons I'm working on jumping courses--which is a series of jumps in an order. One jump I did was so adorable! It was a few hale bales laid out next to each other. On each side was a hollowed out pumpkin with yellow and orange flowers in it and on top of the jump was a small pumpkin with a drawn on face. It was cool.
That night we went to a 'bonfire and hotdog roast' at a friend's house. My mom came home early from work sick so she couldn't go (I'll be a nice daughter and not mention the part that her boss drove her home and my mom threw up on her car....lol). But me, my dad and Trevor did. It was fun. We had hotdogs (Duh) and dessert and ate it up by the fire. Which wasn't exactly a bonfire....more like a camp fire but whatever.
Nothing happened Sat, Sun or Mon so I'll talk about today.
TUESDAY: We left to go shopping at about 1 in the afternoon. The soccer thing wasn't until 6. First we went to Hamrick's. OK, no offense if any of you like that store but talk about a grandma store. I mean, seriously, everywhere I looked there was that cute little puff of gray or white hair all old ladies have. My mom bought a few things but not me. Me and Trevor sat in the car for like 30 minutes when my mom was in the store. It even smelled old lady-ish and I have a cold and a headache and that smell...ugh...anway. Then we went to our mall. We wandered around a little. Lately I have wanting to have my ear pierced up high on my ear. 'wanting to' as in changing my mind ever other minute. But I did it today! It looks so cool! I don't have any pics at the moment but I'll get one. When the girl did it I didn't even flinch. It didn't hurt...nearly as much as I thought it would anyway. But now it is soooo tender.....
My team eating pizza. I'm the one on the left, looking at camera. Behind the guy in front.
It was a great soccer season. We came second over all. Oh, in that pic above, notice how all the girls are wearing green. Weird.....
Oh and before I forget:
We actually go snow! Well not us personally but only about maybe a 30 minute drive from our house. That is sooo awesome!!

Sports I Have Done Over The Years
Over the past few years I have played certainly my share of different sports. The sport I remember earliest playing was T-Ball. I don't have any pictures of that, but I have pictures of the next sport I did--soccer, which I started in kindergarten.
Me in my final season of soccer in Spring 2004. (I'm in the front)
I tried swimming. But I CANNOT I repeat CANNOT swim under water without plugging my nose!!!!
I did volley ball with two friends for a week long day camp. I really liked it!--Until the ball banged into my face and after one day my wrists were all red and swollen form bopping the ball around.....
I'm on the far right. Look at all the balls laying around. Laying like bombs, waiting to slam into my face! (just joking ya know!)
In 2005 I took a horse back riding day camp. I liked it! And totally fell in love with that horse. Her name was Flash.
A few months after that I joined my friend in figure skating. We were good. Good considering we were only like 11 and 10 and only one of us had lessons! We were doing actual jumps and stuff! I'm the tall one. (Oh, for you who have never met me...I'm tall. 5'6 1/4'' to be exact! Luckily I'm about done growing....)
Just weeks after that skating pic was taken, that girl moved. I had no one else to skate with and just...stopped. My mom had me back into horse riding. This time a tad more seriously too. I love it!
I started taken private lessons. I switched to an English saddle so I needed English riding clothes. Aren't they cool! They are sooo comfy!!!
I did dance for a school semester. That was fun!! See the girl on the far right with the head band? I'm the one next to her in glasses.
I kept riding until we moved from CO to VA a year ago. It took us awhile to find a new riding place, but once we did I loved it! The place was much more focused on jumping than dressage. My first lesson I was cantering over 2 feet jumps. Which is good since I had barely cantered at the the old place!
Me on Frankly Awesome (AKA Buddy). He was such a dorky horse. I love him!
Me on Frankly Awesome (AKA Buddy). He was such a dorky horse. I love him!In August, my parents signed Trevor up for soccer. I was thinking about when I used to play and wanted to do it again--plus everyone I know from church plays on pretty much the same team. Any of you who know me personally know it's not like me to go out and try new stuff. But I asked my mom if I could sign up too. We had practice after practice and then our games. We won all but 2. And only lost 1. We tied one too.
Our team is the Rams. I play defense, sweeper and mid field. We have 13 people on the team--7 boys and 6 girls. I'm the youngest girl....and the second youngest on the team but I am the tallest girl. Thankfully all the guys are taller than me--except one and he is younger so....
Our team had the best defense and goalie in the whole league. I'm the second from the left. I still ride, but at a different place. This place is jumping too, but they focus on showing and competing.
So, all of you, what sports have you done?

Opinions
As many of you know who read my blog I love to write. I write and write and write. I have over 100 notebooks spread across my floor and broken-leadless-mechanical pencils all over (I found one in my bed last night....) Anyway, I recently started a story. Each chapter will alternate from one character's point of view to the other's. (First chapter will be Claire's point of view second will be Brayden's, then Claire's and you get the point!). Here is the introduction for each character. Tell me what you think:
FIRST CHAPTER: CLAIRE
To be honest, I have never been more relieved when the bell rang, signaling the end of my first day at Benjamin Franklin High. I know that seems cheesy, but it's true. For the first time in my whole seventeen years of living, I, Claire Tennyson, am an outcast. I know that sounds cheesy also, but guess what? Yep, you're right. It's true. At my highschool in Oregon, I was head cheerleader, straight A student, a jock, always got the leads in the musicals. I could go on, but that would seem big headed and I think you get the point--I was popular.
Then my dad got layed off and we moved to my aunt and uncle's house in the country. My 19 year old brother, Hunter, got to stay there in Oregon, because he was going to college.
A few days before my junior year started, which was also going to be my first say at Ben Franklin, my annoying cousin, Cici (Like, what kind of name is Cici anyway?!) asked me if I could ride her horse. 'Sure,' I told her. Besides, how hard could it be to ride an 8 year old girl's horse? Well, it turns out, it's hard. Bronco through me and I broke my ankle. I had to start junior year on crutches and listening to snide remarks I just as soon not repeat.
OK, that was Claire. Later on in the chapter this guy comes up and starts talking to her. Here's the beginning of Brayden's point of view.
SECOND CHAPTER: BRAYDEN
There was a new girl in school today. Her name's Claire. She has long brown hair and green eyes that send shivers up my spine. She looked right at me. But only because I was making a complete idiot of myself. Who was I kidding when I tried to be cool and talk to her? It was the first day of my second year of being a junior in highschool and nothing has changed. I'm still a skateboarding freak; I still have that tatoo on my upper arm of a thunder cloud my brother, Dylan, gave me; I'm still trying to hit it big in the music business with AJ, Ollie, Gannon, Jake and Ryan and I'm still deathly shy.
That's all. Do you think that both of them are normal? Tell me what you think.....

Things I did today
A. Went to church (usual)
B. Went to go see High School Musical 3 with friends (unusual)
C. Stared at the wall (usual) ;)
Like every Sunday morning we went to church. And I can't tell you how happy I am that we moved the clocks back one hour!! YIPPEE!! One whole more hour of sleep! Which is nice--it made it feel like we left for church at 10 instead of 9. Since we live an hour away from our church we have to get up early to get there on time.
Right after church, all the kids gather in the parking lot or a strip of grass behind the parking lot and kick a soccer ball around. Almost every kid at our church plays soccer in the same league. We just had our last game of the season Friday and it didn't go great--I could go into detail, but I could go on forever how the other team was using elbows in ways they shouldn't and that I thought two of our players almost passed out. :P. Need I say more?? A few of the girls were talking about going to go see the new High School Musical movie that came out one or two weeks ago. Now, I'm not a big fan of High School Musicals, but me and my little brother, Trevor have watched the 2nd one on TV whenever it's on and we had really been wanting to go see the third one. I like to go just to make fun of it! ;).
15 kids from church ended up going to go see the movie. And 5 of them were boys.....who laughed and made fun of everyone in the movie the whole way through but they're boys-what else do we expect? :). I thought the movie was OK. Certainly cheesy in parts and Troy is a bit obsessed with Gabriella!! (Anyone else think that??). I don't think it was a good as the second High School Musical, but better than the first and I have to admit parts were funny. The movie went longer than I expected. We got into the theater after 1:30 and there wasn't too many previews before the movie and we didn't get out of there until 3:48 to be exact.
After we got home it was already dark. It's half nice having it get dark at 5:30 and half annoying. We ate dinner and now I am so bored! I finally sat down and started a blog. Yeah, I've had blogs before but they never seemed to last longer than a few weeks. Probably because I pressured myself to post everyday, which I couldn't do now even if I wanted to...well I guess I could since soccer ended..but I have nothing really to write about!
I'll be back.
